Why World Mental Health Day Is Important To Us
We know that mental health in the workplace is important, and that's why we take action at Kaboodle to help take care of our teams mental wellbeing.
According to stats, 1 in every 6 people are suffering with their mental health in the workplace.
We don’t think that's ok!
That is why....
- All our Depot Managers have undertaken Mental Health Awareness Training
- Our Installation Manager is a trained Mental Health First Aider
- Two other team members are completing their Mental Health First Aiders training this year, including our MD Matt Pitt
- We distributed posters and leaflets about Mental Health in the Workplace across our depots for Minds Mental Health Week earlier this year
- We recently raised money and awareness of Mental Health in Contruction Workers through a company-wide Steps Challenge for the Lighthouse Charity
- We are holding a ‘Chat & Cake’ events, to give our staff the time and space to talk about mental wellbeing in the workplace
- We provide an Employee Assistance Programme to all permanent staff, where they can access help and support if needed
And why do we do all this? Because we KNOW Mental Health in the workplace matters.
Today is World Mental Health Day, run by the Mental Health Foundation.
Let's start trying to reduce those stats today!
